Introduction to the SQL Library

This is the SARDS SQL Library. It contains examples of SQL that you may like to use in your school. If you have SQL worksheets that you use that others may benefit from, please share them!

You can browse the available scripts by looking at the list on the right of this text.

CASES Worksheets and SQL

School admin staff are able to query CASES data using SQL, which allows them to build custom, targetted queries of their school database. Information on how to create and run queries is in the CASES Admin User Guides, in Chapter 14 - Worksheets and Quicklists.

SQL Library

This library is a set of examples for Business Managers, contributed by other Business Managers. If you have feedback on the existing scripts or ideas for new ones please post in the discussions. If you have a script request you can also post that in the discussions.

Excel

CASES exports data as Excel worksheets. CASES has the ability to do some manipulation of the data in SQL, but if you want to do summaries or calculations of the data you will need to get comfortable using basic Excel. Excel can also be used to present the data better for your audience by adding colour and formatting.

A good place to start with Excel is Leila Gharani's Excel channelHere is her playlist for the fundamental basics of Excel.
